A Burnham-On-Sea runner has completed his 69th half marathon, raising a total of £26,580 for charity.

Jason Vickers, who works at Burnham’s Tesco store, has had a busy year of fundraising during 2018.

“I love running and this year I’ve completed nine half marathons, six 10km events, and three 5km events,” he told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

The plucky runner, who suffers from Crohn’s Disease, is raising the money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

“I always get fantastic support from local people and can’t thank everyone enough,” he says.

“In March I will be running my 70th half marathon, the Landmarks Half Marathon in London, and I hope to exceed £30,000 during next year.”
