Candles and scores of floral tributes have been laid in memory of Dylan Cecil, the four year-old boy who went missing after slipping into the sea from the end of Burnham-On-Sea’s jetty.

The plight of the youngster has struck an emotional chord with many residents and holidaymakers, who have been placing large numbers of flowers and toys besides the sea wall at the top of the jetty, as pictured here.

Candles and lanterns were also lit on Monday and Tuesday night in memory of the youngster.

Dylan’s mother, Rachel McCollum, has thanked the rescue services and the wider community for their support of her family since Sunday’s tragedy.
