Highbridge’s King Alfred School is set to hold a Sixth Form Open Evening this month when the facilities and work there will be showcased.

The event will take place on Tuesday 30th January 2018 from 6-7.30pm when all will be welcome.

“Due to popular demand Year 11 students and their parents, carers and friends are warmly invited to our second Sixth Form Open Evening to be held on 30 January,” says Jonathan Gaskell, head of the sixth form.

“We welcome both our outstanding Year 11s and external students to join our friendly and aspirational sixth form.”

“The event will highlight why our students make more progress than expected (L3VA, 2017) and why we are among the very best sixth forms in Somerset.”

“It will also show how the vast majority of our students progress to leading UK universities, and why the sixth form has been recognised as ‘Apprenticeship Champions’.”

“We will also explain our comprehensive enrichment programme of clubs, competitions and international trips to prepare our students for the world of work.”
