Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Mayor Cllr Mike Facey was among local residents as the town’s first Community Breakfast of the autumn was held at Burnham’s Haven Holiday Park for the first time.
The networking event was considered a success and focused on the voices of the community, bringing together local people, groups and professionals.
Discussions highlighted five main themes that will now shape future Community Breakfasts: Children, young people and families; Inclusion and belonging; Community connections, support and awareness; Access, transport and spaces; and Pride and participation.
Organisers say anyone working in those fields — whether as a community volunteer or a professional — is welcome to get in touch and take part in the next breakfast.
They also say they would like to hear from anyone interested in forming a group outside the breakfast meetings and feeding back.
Future Community Breakfast dates in 2026 are Friday 11th December, Friday 19th March, Friday 21st May, and Friday 16th July. For more details, email Mcoggins@thespacesomerset.org.
