Pupils at a Burnham-On-Sea school created their own miniature version of the town’s carnival this week.

Burnham Infants School’s Year 1 and 2 children made class carnival floats during a ‘wow day’.

“We then had a whole school carnival assembly on Wednesday when all the floats were on display and each class talked about their floats,” said Julia Arthur.

“Each class decided on a theme for their float and all children took part in creating them using the wide range of junk materials which parents provided.”

They included Starfish – Pirates of Burnham on Sea; Kittiwakes – Mystical and Magical; Dolphins – Under da Sea; Turtles – Orlando went to sea!; Seals – Pumpkin Party; and Puffins – Disney Magic!
