A motorist has been arrested following an early‑morning crash on Burnham-On-Sea seafront over the weekend.
Police were called to the North Esplanade shortly before 4am on Sunday (19th April) after a car collided with a wall outside a home before crashing into a parked vehicle.
A Police spokesperson says: “A man is in police custody following a collision on The Esplanade in Burnham-On-Sea just before 4am on Sunday.”
“A man was arrested in nearby Seaview Road by 4.10am on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and drink driving and remains in police custody.”
“If you saw what happened or have any footage which could help the police investigation, and have yet to speak with officers, please call 101 and give the reference 5226106336.”
