-

A new independent greengrocers is set to open its doors in Burnham-On-Sea town centre.

The Full Basket will be opening on the High Street in the former Shoe Zone unit, which closed in January this year.

The business will offer a wide range of fruit, vegetables, healthy snacks, drinks and more.

A spokesperson for the company told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We are delighted to be opening a new store in Burnham town centre, which will join our other stores in Worle and Bristol.”

“We will sell great quality and good value fruit, vegetables, healthy snacks, drinks and more. We intend to open in the next fortnight and residents will be encouraged to pop in and show their support.”

Burnham-On-Sea Chamber of Trade has welcomed the news, saying: “We are very pleased to welcome this independent greengrocers to the town — a great addition to the High Street alongside our many independent shops and businesses. We wish them all the best here in Burnham.”

A greengrocer used to operate on the other side of Burnham High Street called Sanders fruit and veg which closed in 2011 as we reported here. That premises is now a Costa Coffee store.
