A new water refill point has been unveiled at Apex Park in Highbridge to encourage people to use less plastic bottles.

Sedgemoor District Council has introduced the new facility on the building in the main car park.

“We’ve recently installed a water refill point at Apex Park next to the toilets in the car park, so next time you visit don’t forget to bring along your reusable water bottle,” says a spokesman.

“Using a reusable water bottle instead of a single use plastic bottle helps to reduce plastic pollution and the damage plastic is doing to both nature and wildlife.”
