Happy Days in Burnham-On-Sea

Tickets are on sale for a nostalgic afternoon of music and patriotic songs in Burnham-On-Sea.

‘Happy Days Are Here Again’ will take the audience at Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre on a trip down memory lane, bringing good old fashioned singalongs, beautiful ballads,  and songs to touch your heart and make you smile.

“We are all in need of lifting our spirits, having a good old sing song and a really good laugh. If that sounds like a good idea, then Happy Days Are Here Again is the show for you!” says a spokeswoman.

It will be staged on Wednesday 10th November 2021 at 2:00pm at The Princess Theatre in Burnham’s Princess Street.

“The show includes a tribute to the late Dame Vera Lynn, the nation’s sweetheart, including, of course, The White Cliffs of Dover and We’ll Meet Again.”

“You can ‘Meet The Gang’ as we take you back to the ENSA concert party days, with songs and fun and there is a good old fashioned knees up where you can singalong to ‘Roll Out the Barrel’, ‘Knees Up Mother Brown’ and ‘Lambeth Walk’, amongst others.”

“You will also be taken back to the sounds of the Andrews Sisters and Glen Miller in our American section with our fabulous dancers tapping and jiving!”

“The show is proud to be associated with The Royal British Legion and this tour has been planned to coincide with Remembrance Weekend this November.”

“They will pay a respectful tribute to our Fallen Heroes, honouring all our Armed Forces and creating poignant, but beautiful scenes using a state of the art projection screen.”

“You will be actively encouraged to join in with a ‘Last Night of the Proms’ Finale, lifting everyone’s spirits with plenty of flag waving and patriotism.”

“The show is performed by seven award-winning vocalists with incredible voices and amazing harmonies, and talented dancers with beautiful bespoke costumes. With mirth and merriment along the way, this feelgood show is guaranteed to leave you with a smile on your face.”
