The Burnham-On-Sea area saw high winds from former hurricane Ophelia on Monday (October 16th) but escaped the disruption seen elsewhere.
The storm swept across the Atlantic into Ireland and strong gusts of wind were experienced in the region, including in the Bristol Channel.
The storm created rough sea conditions and generated a red sun in the morning due to Sahara dust being blown into the country.
