Paws‑itively packed! East Huntspill Dog Show delights visitors

-

East Huntspill’s All Saints Church welcomed a large crowd on Saturday (5th September) when it held its annual Summer Fayre and Fun Dog Show, with organisers praising a “wonderful day” of community spirit, sunshine and wagging tails.

The churchyard was busy throughout the afternoon as visitors browsed craft stalls, enjoyed refreshments and watched dozens of dogs take part in the popular show, arranged by Kevin and Rachel from A Dog’s Day Out.

There were prizes, rosettes, certificates and a trophy for Best in Show, along with 100 goodie bags handed out to every dog that took part.

One of the organisers, Sara Puddy, said the fayre had been a huge success. “It was great to see the churchyard full of people enjoying the fayre and the Fun Dog Show in beautiful weather,” she said.

“Thank you to everyone who came along and supported or helped in any way, especially the lovely craft stalls.”

She added that the day raised over £1,150 for the upkeep of All Saints Church and the Church Hall, with volunteers saying they were delighted by the level of support shown by the local community.
