A Burnham-On-Sea pensioner has passed a top piano exam over 60 years on from taking her previous one!
Jenny Golding, 80, has achieved her Grade 7 piano examination from the Association Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
Her piano teacher, Rachel Burland, told Burnham-On-Sea.com she is delighted for Jenny.
“Jenny has taken and passed her Grade 7 piano exam which is an achievement in itself, except that this lady is 80 years old! Jenny last took her Grade 6 exam in 1954.”
Rachel added: “Hopefully the story will serve as an encouragement for other budding pianists of all ages.”
Jenny is a very active member of Burnham-On-Sea’s community and recently also took part in the Highbridge Festival where she won a top medal.
