Just 24 hours after a group of travellers left Burnham-On-Sea’s BASC sports ground, a new convoy arrived at the town’s Pier Street car park on Wednesday evening (June 15th).

Sixteen vehicles – ranging from caravans and trucks to cars and a horse box – are parked in the southern end of the car park.

Sedgemoor District Council, which owns the car park, is monitoring the vehicles and will be starting legal action to have them moved.

It comes after an influx of travellers in Burnham this summer at locations across the town. Police have asked anyone who suffers criminal incidents to contact them on 101.
