Police were called to Burnham-On-Sea’s Pier Street car park on Wednesday night (November 22nd) after several cars were seen performing ‘doughnuts’ and being driven at high speed.

A nearby resident sent us this video of four vehicles performing ‘doughnuts’ in the slippery car park after a period of rainfall.

One of the vehicles was then seen being driven at high speed along The South Esplanade towards the sailing club.

Police were called by a concerned resident at just after 9pm, who told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The vehicles were being driven in a dangerous manner in the car park for over half an hour.”

“I was worried not only for the safety of other people using the car park and the owners of other vehicles parked there, but also for the nearby residents – they shouldn’t have to put up with this. I hope the Police are able to stop the problem.”
