More poppy sellers needed in Burnham-On-Sea, says British Legion

-

More volunteers are needed by the Royal British Legion to sell poppies in Burnham-On-Sea this week.

The town branch needs more people to come forward to help in the run-up to this year’s Remembrance Day service on Sunday November 12th.

The Legion’s Bob Curry told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Saturday: “We need more people to get involved by helping to collect money and sell poppies – it doesn’t have to be a great deal of time, just the odd hour here or there.”

Some of Burnham-On-Sea’s current poppy sellers were out in force on Saturday. They included Mary Baker, Marilyn Curry and Phil Mills, pictured above outside their shop in Victoria Street.

Anyone who can help is asked to contact telephone 01278 781046 or to drop into the Legion’s shop at 15 Victoria Street during normal opening hours.
