Burnham-On-Sea pub gets ‘Banksy’ alongside colourful street art

-

Several street artists have created colourful tributes to BMX rider Liam Phillips and Major Frank Foley outside a Burnham-On-Sea pub – alongside what may be a second Banksy painting.

The new artwork has been painted in the outside seating area at The Railway in Burnham’s High Street.

It comes after a possible Banksy also appeared on the wall of a seafront garden on Sunday.

The Railway’s manager Antony Doble said he’s delighted with the display: “We sponsored the Spray Jam – the artwork is fantastic, it has created a massive buzz around town as well as in the pub.”

“It’s now also sparked a debate about if it is a real Banksy piece.”

“We have had people coming from far and wide to view the art. I think Becky and the SSOSVA have done an amazing job around the town.”
