Secret World Wildlife Rescue near Burnham-On-Sea has thanked 1st Weston Priory Rainbows and 6th Worle Brownies who have raised hundreds of pounds to support the centre’s vital work with British wildlife.
Ahead of their visit, the enthusiastic group of 50 young people took part in fundraising activities to help injured and orphaned animals — and their efforts certainly paid off, raising £325.
“We are so grateful for their generosity and enthusiasm,” said a spokesperson from Secret World. “It’s inspiring to see young people so passionate about protecting nature.”
During their visit, the Rainbows and Brownies enjoyed an evening of outdoor learning and wildlife discovery.
Activities included pond dipping, a woodland walk, birdwatching and species identification with the help of Secret World’s education team.
