Rescued rabbit kits being cared for by Secret World Wildlife Rescue near Burnham-On-Sea

-

Two rabbit kits are being cared for by the team at Secret World Wildlife Rescue  near Burnham-On-Sea after being rescued when their nest was disturbed during garden work.

Taryn and Sorrel are being raised by one of the centre’s team, who has been caring for them using an incubator and is now helping them transition to eating pellets, grass, and dandelions.

The charity has been keeping a close eye on their progress and says it plans to release them back into the wild when they are strong and healthy.

A spokesperson says: “The tiny rabbit kits were rescued when their nest was accidentally disturbed during garden work. They’ve come such a long way since then, thanks to the incredible care of our receptionist Flic, who’s been their dedicated carer from incubator to independence.”

“These little ones have thrived under her watchful eye, moving from milk feeds to pellets, then to munching happily on grass and dandelions. Their personalities have truly begun to shine – curious, energetic, and definitely keeping Flic on her toes! It is wonderful to see how far they’ve come.”
