Almost £1,000 was raised at a charity’s annual summer fayre in Burnham-On-Sea.

The Kathleen Chambers RNIB home held its popular fayre last week when crowds of visitors flocked to the event to support it.

Activities included cake stalls, cream teas, refreshments, bric a brac, a bottle stall, tombola, face painting and balloon modelling.

There was also a special performance by Burnham-On-Sea U3A’s ukulele group and support from Moose International.

There was also a visit by Cllr Michael Clarke, Mayor of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge, who met some of the residents and staff.
