New road sign unveiled by Burnham-On-Sea Rotarians

-

A new sign has been unveiled along Burnham-On-Sea’s Queen’s Drive this week to recognise the Rotary Club’s efforts to keep the road litter-free.

The Deputy Mayor of Burnham and Highbridge, Cllr Dave Parry, formally unveiled the new signage – which is placed below the ‘Welcome to Burnham’ sign – in a short ceremony on Sunday morning (September 24th).

Provision of the sign was approved by Burnham and Highbridge Town Council in recognition of the Rotary Club’s contribution to the local community. It reads: ‘Burnham Rotary Club helps to care for Queen’s Drive. Please take your litter home.’

“We are delighted that the sign has been agreed,” Rotary President Mike Young told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The Club will continue to help keep Queen’s Drive tidy, and we shall also be running the Fireworks Collection and helping with Carnival programmes in November.”
