Dozens of classic machines from the past century went on show at the annual Sedgemoor Vintage Rally on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.

One of the highlights of this year’s two-day show was a specially arranged fly-past by Lancaster and Spitfire war planes as they returned from the Yeovilton Air Show on Saturday.

Over 70 vintage tractors, classic cars, trucks, motorcycles and stationary engines were also on show at Isleport Farm.

And there were demonstrations of how haymaking, harvesting and cultivation were carried out during the early 1900s.

One of the organisers, Rob Coombes, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The event was a great success again this year – we were very busy with large crowds of visitors on both days.”

“We had a good range of vehicles on show and were delighted to get a fly-past by the two war planes. We do apologise to all those people who missed the planes – this part of the event was arranged at the very last minute.”
