A colourful stage adaptation of the hit DreamWorks film Shrek is set to entertain audiences in Burnham-On-Sea this weekend when Starlight Dance and Musical Theatre BoS presents its first-ever musical at the Princess Theatre.
The group will perform Shrek the Musical Jr on Saturday 19th September, with two shows scheduled at 2pm and 6.30pm. Tickets are available priced at £20/£18 via The Princess Theatre’s website.
The family-friendly production follows Shrek, the grumpy but good-hearted ogre whose peaceful swamp is suddenly overrun by a cast of displaced fairy tale characters.
Determined to reclaim his home, Shrek sets off on a quest with his loyal companion Donkey, leading them to rescue Princess Fiona from the scheming Lord Farquaad.
The show features plenty of humour, lively musical numbers and a message celebrating inner beauty and friendship, with the group promising an uplifting performance for all ages.
