Burnham-On-Sea runners sought for Sport Relief Mile charity event

-

Runners in Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge are being encouraged to enter the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 23rd March.

Highbridge’s King Alfred’s Sport Centre, together with Burnham Harriers, are organising the fundraising event this year.

Local people can show their support by signing up now to take part here.

“Entrants don’t have to be sporty to take part, but can chose to complete 1, 3 or 6 miles knowing that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living unimaginably tough lives right here on our doorstep and across the rest of the UK,” said local organsier Penny Cook.

In addition to the runs being managed by Burnham-On-Sea Harriers, King Alfred Sports Centre will be running a table top sale from 10am-1pm on the day.

A limited number of entries can be taken on the day for those arriving by 10am.

As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active and raise cash for good causes.
