Members of Highbridge and Burnham St John Cadets made a special visit to two of Burnham-On-Sea’s marine rescue services this week.

The group of 28 youngsters and leaders visited the Coastguard and hovercraft stations on the town’s seafront, where they were given a talk about beach safety and also got to see the rescue equipment up close.

Leader Sarah Westlake told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “The cadets are currently studying emergency services and accident prevention to earn one of their badges, so the visit was very timely. We all thoroughly enjoyed the evening.”
