A country road on the outskirts of Burnham-On-Sea is closed for emergency repairs this week after problems with road subsidence, likely caused by the dry summer.
Stoddens Lane is scheduled to be closed from September 26th until October 2nd for emergency ‘Utility Repair and Maintenance Works.’
Long cracks have appeared in the tarmac surface in recent weeks, pictured here, following the dry weather, creating drainage issues and an uneven road surface.
Wales & West Utilities Ltd is carrying out the work. Motorists can call 0800 912 2999 for more details. Diversions are in place during the work.
