Plans are taking shape for a special Summer Ball in support of Burnham’s BARB Search & Rescue, with organisers inviting local people to join an evening of live music, fundraising and celebration while helping to support the charity’s lifesaving work.
The event will be held on Friday 25th September 2026, running from 7pm until midnight at the Batch Country House in Lympsham.
Guests will be welcomed into a black‑tie setting for a night of entertainment, including music from the popular band Six Machine.
Throughout the evening, guests will be able to take part in an auction featuring several standout items, along with raffles offering a range of prizes, all raising money for BARB’s rescue operations, training and equipment.
The charity says every ticket sold and every bid placed will directly support the volunteer crews who respond to call-outs.
Tickets are priced at £55, available through the Batch Country House events page, with tables seating either eight or ten. Anyone needing fewer than eight tickets can contact BARB directly at events@barb.org.uk.
Cash and card payments will be accepted on the night, and 21 guest rooms are available to book via the venue’s website for those wishing to stay over. Guests will also have the chance to have photos taken alongside the BARB hovercraft.
Organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming supporters for what promises to be a memorable evening celebrating the dedication of BARB’s volunteers.
