Brent Knoll singer Gracie Wickens-Sweet, who reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent earlier this year, wowed the audience at the Summerfest charity music fundraiser at the weekend.

Despite a day of heavy rain showers, spectators flocked to the event at Somerset Court in Brent Knoll on Sunday (July 5th).

Gracie gave a special performance during the day and got the loudest cheers from the spectators after a powerful line-up of songs.

One of the event’s organisers, Sally Edwards, told “Gracie was fantastic and got a great reception from the spectators. It was a very enjoyable event despite the changeable weather.”

Local bands also playing on the main stage included Six Machine, The Talk Show Hosts, Chiller, The Tim Crahart Blues Band and Kyle Coleman. Music, arts, crafts and childrens entertainers were also laid on at the event, which was held to raise awareness and funds for the National Autistic Society.
