Burnham-On-Sea’s Princess Theatre hosted the town’s second annual Talent Showcase competition on Saturday night (February 13th).

Up and coming bands and musicians performed live in front of two judges at the event, which was held to raise funds for local charity Somewhere House Somerset.

Tom Llywarch and Leyton McLean, right, were declared the overall competition winners and they will be performing their guitar set at this year’s Farmfest.

Odds to End, who last year came in third place, were delighted to come second this time around.

And Benjamin Kempton and Toby Brewer came in third place with a medley of Jersey Boys.

“It was a brilliant evening,” organiser Lewis Coleman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“From rap music to show songs, and rock and pop, it was a diverse competition.”

“The judges, Oliver Hulme of Farmfest and Dymphna Skehill of Jelli Records, said they found it very difficult to pick the top three.”

He added: “The standard was very high. I expect to see many of the eight acts in future events in the community.”
