Three Burnham-On-Sea BMX riders have been chosen to represent Great Britain at the Euro and World championships this summer.

Joe Penton-Voak has been selected in the boys Cruiser 15/16, Owen Miller in the boys Cruiser 13/14, and Elliot Hatch on his 20” bike in the male 9’s.

The club’s Mark Miller says: “Qualification is earned via the National BMX races over 10 rounds, where the riders are ranked by results and then British Cycling chose them to represent their country.”

“This July they will be heading to the European championships in Valmiera, Latvia and then later in the month to the 2025 BMX Racing World championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.”

“Extra training is going in to get the boys ready for two massive events, which will push them to their limits, and with the races and footage shown around the world.”

Mark adds: “Everyone at the club is super proud of them and wishes them luck – go smash it!”
