Three good causes in the Burnham-On-Sea area have been given a financial boost this week by the Co-Op.
Burnham and Highbridge Sea Cadets has received £877.40, West Huntspill Under Fives Group received £868.87, and Burnham & Highbridge Choral Society Amount received £912.
Representatives from the three groups received their cheques during a presentation at Co-Op Funeralcare in Burnham’s Adam Street, as pictured here.
“When Co-Op members shop with us, 1% of what they spend on selected Co-Op products and services goes to support local causes through our local community fund,” explained a spokeswoman.
“Members can chose which local cause they want their 1% to go to. The big Co-Op pay out is our chance to thank our members for helping us to give back.”
“Our members have raised an amazing £17million for over 4,000 local causes.”
“Members also get 5% of what they spend on selected Co-Op branded products and services, back to spend off their next shop, or off the price of Funeralcare Services including pre-paid funeral plans.”
