Hundreds of people attended a Christmas fayre in Burnham-On-Sea’s Baptist Church on Saturday (December 10th) when proceeds helped a local group.

The event featured stalls, a craft fayre, tombola, raffle and refreshments with all proceeds going to Somerset Time for Youth, a non-profit group for children with special needs and their families.

There was also a special visit by Else and Anna from Frozen, and Santa, alongside stalls selling a variety of locally-made gift items.

Somerset Time For Youth is a voluntary organisation for children and young people with special needs and their families which runs sessions every other Saturday, between 10.30am and 1pm at the Balliol Hall in West Huntspill. The club welcomes new members.

Hands of Change in Burnham and Highbridge, a local organisation who specialise in helping the local community, were also on hand with a homeless exhibition in the church, as pictured above. Two of the group’s members are pictured.

Burnham photographer Thomas Macrae was among the stallholders at the event.
