New Burnham Town Centre Manager could be appointed next week

-

A new Burnham-On-Sea Town Centre Manager could be appointed next week.

The role is being formed to co-ordinate events and promote Burnham town centre, working alongside the Chamber of Trade and other groups.

However, as reported here, the recruitment period for the role had to be extended after a poor initial response.

Town Council Clerk Denise Emery told Burnham-On-Sea.com yesterday (Tuesday): “We had a good response of half a dozen applicants in the end and have invited four to an interview this Friday ahead of a possible announcement next week.”

The part-time role, which will earn £15k a year over two years, is among several improvements being funded by £440,000 of funding from Tesco to offset the impact of its store expansion in Burnham.
