Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge Town Council has this week announced a new Town Clerk for the two towns.

As Burnham-On-Sea.com reported last year, current Town Clerk Denise Emery is retiring at the end of March when Tatiana Cant will take over.

Tatiana – pictured here with Denise and Mayor Michael Clarke – started her role at the beginning of March to allow for a month-long handover.

She was previously Parish Clerk in Cheddar, where she lives, and also previously worked in council roles in Martock and Totnes.

She told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It’s an exciting opportunity and I am looking forward to the role.”

Cllr Clarke welcomed Tatiana and thanked Denise for her “superb work over the years” and wished her well for the future.

Denise has seen the Town Council through a busy period over the last four years, which included the town centre improvements project in Burnham-On-Sea.
