Tributes have been paid to a former Burnham-On-Sea guesthouse owner who has sadly passed away.
Phoebe Pearce ran the Round Tower Guesthouse on Burnham’s Esplanade for several years with her family until she retired to Oxford in 2022.
She recently passed away, aged 78, following a period of illness and leaves behind her husband Stuart, and sons Peter, Michael and David.
During her time in Burnham she was an active member of several community organisations including Burnham Heritage Group and Burnham Chamber of Trade.
A Burnham Chamber of Trade spokesperson said she was a valued and hard-working member of the group who will be much missed.
She took pride in 2018 in being the first Burnham business to achieve a new ‘green’ award aimed at encouraging local firms to be more environmentally responsible.
Her funeral will be held at 1:30pm in St Lawrence’s Church in North Hinksey, West Oxford on Tuesday August 18th, 2026. Donations can be made to Cancer Research UK via this link.
