Angry residents along a Burnham-On-Sea street were beginning a clean-up operation on Saturday morning (December 16th) after vandals caused damage in the area.

Several concrete flower pots were removed from the front gardens of properties along Worston Road before being smashed on pavements, as pictured here, during the early hours of Saturday.

One local resident told Burnham-On-Sea.com a group of almost a dozen youths had been seen in the area shortly before the vandalism took place.

He added: “The breaking of a few flower pots might seem minor to some people, but it’s just one of a series of incidents in this area lately that is starting to anger a lot of us.”

It comes just weeks after several vehicles along the same road were scratched by keys in an overnight attack. Burnham police said they were aware of Saturday’s incident and were investigating.
