One person was taken to hospital following a crash in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea on Monday evening (April 20th).

A Citroen and a BMW collided in Vicarage Street soon after 5pm, with one vehicle left partially embedded in the front of the former Vicarage Garage.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the scene, and a police spokesperson later said one person had been taken to hospital as a precaution.

The garage was assessed for any substantial structural damage and the front of the property was boarded up.
