Burnham‑On‑Sea and Highbridge Town Council has thanked the volunteers who took part in a community litter pick on Friday 20th March as part of the Great British Spring Clean 2026.
Residents, Town Councillors and Town Council staff joined forces to help tidy areas of Burnham‑On‑Sea, collecting 20 bags of rubbish and recyclable materials during the session.
The council says the effort had made “a clear and positive difference” to the appearance of the town. Refreshments were provided afterwards as a thank you to those who took part.
A Town Council spokesperson said they were grateful for the strong turnout and the community spirit shown on the day.
“We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who volunteered their time. Their support helps keep Burnham clean, tidy and welcoming for residents and visitors.”
The next community litter pick will take place on Friday 19th June, and the council is encouraging more residents to get involved.
