Burnham town centre walk to be held by neighbourhood plan group

-

A team of volunteers who are compiling a new Burnham-On-Sea Neighbourhood Plan are begining the next phase of their consultation today (Saturday) by holding a special walk through the town.

Over the coming months there will be lots of events across the whole area covered by the plan, but to kick things off the group is meeting at 10am at St Andrew’s Church today for a walk around the town centre to look at the issues affecting local people.

There will be a follow-up workshop at Burnham Community Centre on Tuesday 4th November at 7pm and then an opportunity to join a group of neighbours to develop ideas for the future of the town on Thursday 13th November at 7pm at Burnham Community Centre.

A spokesman for the group said: “This is the start of a large number of creative ways we will be engaging with residents, businesses and visitors. We want to listen to their views and build a plan that reflects want they want, need and like for the future.”

Local people can let the team overseeing the plan know their views via email at ourneighbourhoodplan@gmail.com or find them on Facebook at ‘Neighbourhood Plan for Burnham and Highbridge’, or by post at Freepost RTKR-HCBK-UUUK Burnham & Highbridge Community Centre, 5 Berrow Road, Burnham, TA8 2ET.
