Warning to van owners in Burnham and Highbridge after ‘suspicious incident’

-

Van owners in the Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge area are being urged to be extra vigilant after a suspicious incident on Tuesday night (May 19th).

A Highbridge resident reported on social media that three men who were seen trying to hide their identity pulled up and were seen looking into multiple vans.

“They pulled up in what I think was a dark green BMW but I couldn’t see it clear enough,” says the resident. “With face masks on and hoods up, they were looking in all the vans down my road.”

“When they saw me from my window, they got in the car and one of them hung off the back of the car to hide the number plate so I could not see it and they drove off.”

“I think they are doing the rounds – keep a look out and take work tools of your vans,” he adds.
