The West Huntspill Players are preparing to raise the curtain on their latest production later this month — a murder mystery comedy titled Who Did You Say You Were?, written by Giles Scott.
The show will run at Balliol Hall, West Huntspill, from Wednesday 22nd to Saturday 25th April 2026, with performances directed by Tania Leigh. The amateur production is being staged by arrangement with Lazy Bee Scripts.

Set in the present day, the play follows a group attending a murder mystery weekend where the participants are struggling to keep track of their own roles — and everyone else’s — just as events take a supernatural twist.
The cast includes Adele Deakins, Steve Taylor, Phil Crossland, Pat Harris, Naomi Nicholson, Susie Kesterton, Dan Webber, Matthew Taylor and Alastair Murray.

The production features two acts set across the same weekend at a guest house, with an interval offering tea and a raffle.
A large backstage team of club members is supporting the show with stage management, lighting, sound, costumes, props and front‑of‑house duties.

The West Huntspill Players have thanked their supporters and volunteers for helping bring the production to life, with special appreciation given to those providing refreshments and to Thatchers Cider for donating raffle prizes and post‑show drinks.
The group has also confirmed that its next production will take place from 28th–31st October 2026, with tickets available from 1st August via their website at www.westhuntspillplayers.org.uk.

New members are always welcome, whether interested in performing or helping behind the scenes.
Anyone wishing to get involved can attend the Players’ next meeting on Thursday 21st May at 7.30pm, or contact June Jenkins on 07765 306641 or email info@westhuntspillplayers.org.uk.
