The winners have been announced of Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge’s summer lighthouse trail.
As reported here, more than 30 colourful mini lighthouses appeared in shop windows across Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge throughout August when a summer trail was underway.
The Lighthouse Trail was organised by Burnham Rotary Club with the support of Burnham Chamber of Trade, Hobby Dayz, Burnham and Highbridge Men’s Shed and Create You.
The ceramic lighthouses were decorated by youngsters at Berrow School along with volunteers from the Men’s Shed, creating a wide mix of colourful designs ready for residents and visitors to spot.
The winners of the lighthouse trail were drawn by Mayor Cllr Mike Facey during Sunday’s emergency services day.
1st prize went to Ava Walshe-Thorne who wins a family Day pass to Puxton Park. 2nd prize went to Kelly Summers who wins a £20 voucher. 3rd prize was won by Amelia Walshe-Thorne who gets a craft kit. 4th prize goes to Gracie-Jane Hodge who also wins a craft kit. And 5th prize was won by Amelia Hodge who also gets a craft kit.
Organiser Jimmy Lynch from Burnham Rotary Club congratulated the winners and thanked all those who have supported and entered the trail.
The Mayor thanked all those involved in running the trail and said it had helped to boost footfall from families over the summer.
