THE closure of Highbridge's long-running cattle market edged a step closer this week with the confirmation that the weekly event - along with Taunton's livestock market - will be transferred to a new £50million Regional Rural Business Centre being built at Bridgwater.

PLANS to modernise Burnham-On-Sea will be discussed at the AGM of the town's Regeneration Partnership on Wednesday (Dec 6th). In October, the plans to revamp various parts of the town moved a step closer with the news that £350,000 in regeneration cash had been awarded to the town.
