Movie
makers offer the chance to star in Cate Blanchett film
Hollywood
actress Cate Blanchett
will
be in Brean, near Burnham-On-Sea, this week to film a brand new
blockbuster movie - and producers appealed for local people to
come forward to star as extras.
The
cast and crew of a new film called The Golden Age will
be filming on Brean Beach throughout Tuesday (June 6th) and they
are appealing for local men to be extras.
The
new movie will be a follow-up to the smash hit Elizabeth.
A
spokesperson for the film told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We need
250 local men to take part. They'll be given a simple costume
to wear and will need to be available from mid-day onwards on
Tuesday."
"Meals
will be provided and there are also prizes to be won at the end
of the day."
The
chance to register has now gone as the movie has now been shot.
The
movie will be an exploration of the relationship between Elizabeth
I (Blanchett) and the adventurer Sir Walter Raleigh in a multi-million
dollar sequel to her Oscar-nominated 1998 film Elizabeth.
