Donkey rides – During the summer season donkey rides are available along stretches of Burnham Beach which start from the jetty.

Golf – Among several courses in the area is The Burnham and Berrow Golf Club. This championship course is highly recommended. There’s also a second course at Brean Leisure Centre and an all-weather golf driving range on the A38 between the M5 motorway and Highbridge.

Boating and sailing – Go for a day’s fishing or just sailing around Bridgwater Bay. You will need a launch permit to use the jetty – these can be obtained from the Tourist Information Centre (Telephone 01278 787852).
