Members of Burnham-On-Sea’s Inner Wheel Club have been busy knitting Christmas gifts for needy people in Romania.
The ladies have created hats, scarfs, jumpers, cardigans, knitted teddies, girls handbags and bed socks.
The items are now being packaged up in shoeboxes to be sent to Romania in time for Christmas.
“Two busy mornings have been spent covering and filling 48 shoeboxes, which look so attractive and seasonal when the gifts are placed inside and the boxes wrapped up in Christmas paper,” the club’s Sandra Squire told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“The club’s enthusiastic overseas officer Rosemary Adams is always full of wonderful ideas for making items for overseas projects, which keeps us on our toes!”
