Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor has passed on his best wishes to Town Clerk Eileen Shaw after she suffered an accident on the eve of her 60th birthday this week.
Eileen, pictured, broke a thigh bone after tripping up on Monday.
She was due to celebrate her 60th birthday on Tuesday, but instead underwent a hip operation in hospital.
Mayor Michael Clarke told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It has been a great shock to us all. Our thoughts are with Eileen at this time and we all wish her a speedy recovery.”
