Mrs Barbara Lee sadly passed away on 7th February.
Mrs Lee was known to many in the Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge area, winning the Avon and Somerset Commissioner Award back in 2015 for her ongoing support to the community.
Mrs Lee ran the local mothers and toddlers’ group at Burnham Methodist church for over 20 years, along with supporting the foodbank and helping set up the church for the local citizens advice. Sadly, she had to stop this when COVID restrictions came into place.
Mrs Lee, along with her husband David Lee (who died in 2015), were long-term foster carers, taking in and caring for many children in the local area over their lives as well as raising 10 children of their own.
It is with great sadness that Mrs Lee will no longer be with us.
The funeral will be held on 29th February at 2.30pm at Burnham Methodist Church for all who would like to pay condolences. A private burial will take place.
