Bird’s nest in lorry engine blamed for vehicle fire in Brent Knoll

-

A bird’s nest in a lorry’s engine is believed to have caused a vehicle fire in Brent Knoll on Monday evening (June 10th).

A fire engine from Burnham-On-Sea was sent to Brent Street at just before 6pm after passers-by reported a fire in a small horse box lorry.

“Crews confirmed a small fire in the engine compartment of the lorry which they extinguished using a hose reel jet. The cause of the fire was due to a bird’s nest,” a fire brigade spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
