Burnham-On-Sea jet skier appeals for more local sponsors

-

A Burnham-On-Sea jet skier who hopes to compete in the world championships this autumn is seeking the help of local sponsors.

Nick Edrich, 37, is currently racing in the Jet Sport Racing Association of Great Britain Championships (JSRA) where he is competing in the IJSBA novice stock class.

Nick used to race but due to family and work commitments had to stop around ten years ago.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “It is hard to get back to the fitness required for competition at the highest level, and it is also important to have an understanding wife! Racing takes up a lot of time and money. If I’m not racing, I am probably training. Life is a fine balance.”

There are six race weekends from April through to September, and Nick raced last weekend 16-17 April where he took two wins in his class and is presently leading the championships. He also finished third in the expert class for the weekend.

Nick hopes to ride in the world finals in October at Lake Havasu, USA, but does not as yet have the funds to travel there and compete.

He has a few sponsors locally, which include AK Autos, Home Farm Caravan Park, Quick Sign and The Cladding Centre, but further sponsorship is needed for him to fulfill his potential. Nick can be contacted on 07738 283569.
