Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club members are celebrating after achieving their best results ever at the Somerset ASA County Development Meet last weekend.
A total of 20 swimmers from Burnham-On-Sea Swimming Club competed in over 60 events across the two days, stacking up an amazing 56 Personal Best times, nine 1st places, eight 2nd places and four 3rd places.
The team accrued the best-ever team points for Burnham, 219.5 in total over the weekend. The swimmers also achieved numerous County Qualifying times which will allow them to enter the Somerset ASA County Championships in January and February 2020.
The club’s Head Coach, Mark Podbury, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “These results show the club continues to improve year on year. With just a maximum of three hours training our swimmers are achieving amazing results.”
“We have worked with ANT Swimming on master classes and dive clinics and this extra curricular training was clear to see, our swimmers really did stand out from the crowd.”
